RESEARCH PROJECTS Biomaterials based on chitosan

January 2012 – present, Sumy State University, Ukraine

There are two main directions of my research interest. One project focuses on active investigation of the respiratory infection pathogens influence on human immune response and gut microbiota. Second one include synthesis and examination of new biomaterials for medical application. According with this project staff of our microbiological laboratory investigate a chitosan and chitosan/metal nanoparticles composites antimicrobial activities, and study their ability to modify biological features of the microbes.
